Autumn Term 2021: Changes to our training offer

Over the last year we asked you,  our network, for feedback regarding our current training offer for professionals, and how we could best support you to keep children safer from online sexual abuse.  You told us that an alternative to our ‘CEOP Ambassador (train the trainer) course’ would be beneficial.

We understand that not everybody has the time to attend a full-day course and train others. That’s why this term we are changing our approach and will be piloting a new, shorter CPD course for larger numbers  of professionals working with children and young people, without the requirement to cascade training.

The brand new, half-day Online Child Sexual Abuse CPD course, will be offered at a reduced rate of £75 (full price: £150) for this term.

Course Aims

This NCA- CEOP Online Child Sexual Abuse Course is an online course delivered by the NCA- CEOP Education Team. The course will introduce learners to the specific issues relating to online sexual abuse, including protection and prevention strategies. Following the course, learners will feel more confident identifying and responding to incidents in their settings, and safeguarding children and young people from sexual abuse online.

Who is it for?

This course is aimed at professionals working with children and young people. It is most suitable for education professionals who have a specific safeguarding or Relationships and Sex Education focus within  their role such as Designated Safeguarding Leads, PSHE leads or members of Senior Leadership Teams.

Dates

Course dates will go live on our training pages on 1st October 2021.

Please note: During this pilot, there will be no train the trainer (CEOP Ambassador) courses. Ambassador courses will resume in the Spring Term 2022 and we will let you know when dates go live.
