Any information provided to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre by users thorough this site will be treated in confidence and will not be disclosed to third parties unless required to do so by law. Where the provision of personal data is required to enable CEOP to provide a specific service to the user, the details collected will only be used for policing purposes.
The CEOP reserves the right to gather information relating to site usage. Any information gathered is for internal use to allow service improvement. Where appropriate it may be used in support of the policing purposes as provided for in legislation.

CEOP is an affiliate of the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and as such derives its statutory powers from the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005. Although, CEOP is not a public authority for the purposes of The Freedom of Information Act 2000, it is the aim of the organisation to be as open and transparent in our dealings with the public wherever possible and each request for information will be considered on a case by case basis.
