Youth Advisory Panel

What is the Youth Advisory Panel?

The Youth Advisory Panel is a group of people aged between 11 and 16 years old from across the UK. They have worked with CEOP to create this website, resources that go into schools and also help the Police Officers who work here to get it right with young people.

All the members have an interest in using the internet and creatively work with CEOP and companies like MSN, Google and Bebo to make being online safer for other young people. If you want to join - you don’t have to be a computer whiz—you just need to have an opinion!

How does it work?

The panel meet five to six times a year at CEOP’s London Headquarters to look at new stuff, be creative and eat a lot of pizza! If you are selected as a member of the panel, CEOP will pay the return travel costs for you and your parents or guardian to attend the Youth Panel meetings and other fun day activities.

How do I apply?

You will need to fill out the application form and send it back. Every few weeks we will go through the applications to select members. If you are not selected it may be because we already have people from your area on the Y.A.P or lots of people your age.

We are aiming to build a youth panel that fairly represents all of the UK’s youth!

If I am selected ...

If you are selected, we will contact you via email. So make sure when you fill your form out you write down an email address you check regularly!

We will send you an online form to complete which will give us all the necessary details. We will then tell you about the next meeting we are holding and hopefully you will be available to come and met everyone.

It’s that easy!
